Looking over the shownotes of our first board games episode, it seems to me we cover absolutely no new ground in this episode. Except of course this episode contains 100% more Kennedy of the Starbase 66 and Books You Should Read podcasts. And really, any topic would have just been an excuse to hang out and gab.
This was recorded just before the Charlie Sheen #winning explosion and before every single person knew what Angry Birds is all about. Amazing how fast pop culture moves.

It was bound to come down to this eventually. That’s right… Episode 100!
What better excuse to decide the question on everyone’s lips: Nerd Hurdles and Starbase 66… Which podcast is the bigger hurdle?
Klingon Commander, Kennedy “Kenny G“ Gordon storms the Hurdle Hut with his bat’leth to defend the Starbase’s honour. Jakob and Mandi use their Kirk-Fu against him.
Three nerds enter, three nerds, uh, leave. Pretty much unscathed. The Hurdle Hut isn’t exactly Thunderdome.

Nerd Hurdles wouldn’t exist without one specific thing. Not the Internet. Not Jakob’s Zoom H4 Handy Recorder. Not even Simply Syndicated. No, it’s you the listener who’s made this diamond jubilee possible. Because although we could still do the show without you, we probably wouldn’t. That would be a bit sad. For episode 75 we give our appreciation to you, the nerds who’ve stuck by us, by reading out some of your letters, new and old, as we go on an unintentionally self-serving ego trip. Next stop: We’re awesome!
